This facility is on the ground floor of a multi-level addition to the hospital. Entrances are well separated and clearly demarcated for Trauma and Urgent Care. Shared support, swing rooms and Psychiatric Holding are at the interface of the two sections. Waiting areas link directly to the main hospital's outpatient concourse.

St. Peter's new Emergency Department was part of a phased, 105,000 sq. ft. Campus Renewal Project that also included a Laboratory, Public Concourse and Lobby, Short Stay Unit, and Parking Structure.
